Team Role: Team Leader / Tech / First Air (Trained Paramedic)
How many years have you been investigating the paranormal?: I have been investigating since around 2008/9 so around 12 years now, but been fascinated by the paranormal from a young age
Believer or Sceptic?: I started off as a believer, however the more years I do this, the more sceptic I become, however there are still things I cannot explain.
Any superstitions?: Not really, I am not a superstitious person
Favourite part of an investigation?: Firstly setting up all the equipment, then when the lights go out being part of the team, we all get on so well and although we take it seriously we have fun whilst doing it!
Favourite location investigated?: Inveraray Jail & Jedburgh Jail both in Scotland, one for the scenery and both steeped in history, plus very active places.
What do you feel you bring to the team?: Technical side of things, I like my gadgets, also scientific side too, I'm always thinking of new experiments to conduct whilst on investigations
I am currently completing a online Parapsychology course and have a degree in Ghost Hunting.
Along with the course I am also researching all the time with anything to do with the paranormal, and at present working on research into Demon Possession Vs Mental Health
What was your first paranormal experience? (if any): Whilst camping at Sacrewell Farm with Pete, at night a few of us sneaked off to the barn, and I used to see shadows in there and see chairs moving, this got me fascinated as to what is doing it.
If you could investigate any location, where would it be and why? Windsor Castle - there is a lot of history with it being one of the oldest residence of the Royal Family, and the house itself. So would be interesting to see what or if anything was there? Also any Asylums that are now abandoned.
Describe yourself in 3 words: Short, Enthusiastic, Genuine
T.A.P.I.T. owner Paul’s thoughts on Matt: I have worked with Matt and investigated the paranormal together for many years and I have known him as a friend since our early ice hockey days, a friendship that grew from the day we punched each other in the face in a heated game of ice hockey down in Peterborough and our friendship formed from there especially when we discovered we both had interests in the paranormal. Matt set up the Peterborough Shadow Chasers Paranormal team and I helped there and we did some great investigations before the team disbanded. Matt is the one person that has very similar feelings, thoughts, opinions and ambitions within the work we do hence why he is the perfect guy to have working alongside me now to move the team forward., this enables some of the workload to be shared so it is not all on my shoulders. Very tech Savvy Matt has enabled us to get a bit more 21st Century introducing podcasts etc he loves his gadgets!. Whilst on locations he brings energy and rational thought to every situation.
