Mel Doyle

Team Role: Investigator

How long have you been investigating the paranormal?: Two years (as of 2025), so still a newbie!

Believer or Sceptic?: An Open-minded Sceptic but I have definitely experienced things that I can’t explain

Any superstitions?: None

Favourite part of investigations?: The anticipation when things start to happen and also seeing a sceptic starting to believe in the paranormal.

What do you feel you bring to the team?: I love working with different types of people. A warped sense of humour. A willingness to be open to new experiences and an ability to look at things analytically whilst at the same time be open-minded.

Favourite location?: I don’t think I have found it yet!

What was your first paranormal experience (if any)?: There will be some eye-rolling at this! About 15 years ago I was visited by my cat. I was lying in bed (definitely awake!) and felt her jump onto the duvet and heard purring. Another time when I felt the pressure of her sitting on me, again with the purring. It always happened when I was struggling with something and stopped as soon as I got my new cats. So yes I am a mad cat lady!!

If you could investigate any location, anywhere. Where would it be and why?: Oohh a difficult question as I’m always discovering and hearing about more places. One would be Alcatraz – the history, the violence and type of people imprisoned there, the energy must be so intense.

Describe yourself in three words: Calm, Caring, Organised.

Paul’s thoughts on Lynda: Mel has been around the team for years, always the guest on events that we would go to and would always be willing to call out and take part in any experiment. She has also been on hand to help when we needed someone to step in so it was an absolute no brainer to ask her to join us full time. I love her energy and open-ness to what is going on and/or needs to be sorted behind the scenes. I am looking forward to working closer going forward.
